Crossandra stenostachya merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Tanzania timur laut. Nama ilmiah Crossandra stenostachya pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustav Lindau pada tahun 1899.
