Croton compressus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil tenggara. Nama ilmiah Croton compressus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1786.
