Croton doratophyllus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil selatan. Nama ilmiah Croton doratophyllus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henri Ernest Baillon pada tahun 1864.
