Croton flavescens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Croton flavescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jesse More Greenman pada tahun 1903.
