Croton fuscus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná). Nama ilmiah Croton fuscus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Didrik Ferdinand Didrichsen pada tahun 1865.
