Croton hoffmannii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika, Guianas, hingga Brazil (Roraima). Nama ilmiah Croton hoffmannii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1865.
