Croton lechleri merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika Selatan bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Croton lechleri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1866.
