Croton mexicanus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko selatan, Kosta Rika. Nama ilmiah Croton mexicanus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1865.
