Croton mocquerysii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar timur. Nama ilmiah Croton mocquerysii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Richard Émile Augustin de Candolle pada tahun 1901.
