Croton purdiei adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Croton purdiei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1864.
