Croton redolens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Venezuela utara. Nama ilmiah Croton redolens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henri François Pittier pada tahun 1930.
