Croton ruizianus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ekuador hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Croton ruizianus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1865.
