Croton russulus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Croton russulus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Léon Camille Marius Croizat pada tahun 1944.
