Croton sidifolius merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Croton sidifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1786.
