Croton timandroides merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Bahia hingga Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Croton timandroides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Didrik Ferdinand Didrichsen pada tahun 1865.
