Cryptantha torreyana merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Boraginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada barat hingga Amerika Serikat bagian barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan torrey's cryptantha. Nama ilmiah Cryptantha torreyana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1887.
