Cryptocarya retusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Cryptocarya retusa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 2008.
