Cuphea aperta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Cuphea aperta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne pada tahun 1877.
