Cuphea cyanea merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Cuphea cyanea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis José Mariano Mociño pada tahun 1828.
