Cuphea elliptica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah hingga Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Cuphea elliptica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne pada tahun 1881.
