Cuphea ignea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Oaxaca, Chiapas). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cigar flower. Nama ilmiah Cuphea ignea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alphonse Louis Pierre Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1849.
