Cuphea lutea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah dan selatan hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Cuphea lutea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Nelson Rose pada tahun 1907.
