Curcuma macrochlamys merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Zingiberaceae (suku temu-temuan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Myanmar hingga Thailand. Nama ilmiah Curcuma macrochlamys diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 2015.
