Cuscuta balansae var. socotrensis merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang siklus hidupnya selesai hanya dalam satu musim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Socotra. Nama ilmiah Cuscuta balansae var. socotrensis diperkenalkan oleh Truman George Yuncker pada tahun 1932.
