Cuscuta europaea var. indica merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang siklus hidupnya selesai hanya dalam satu musim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Cuscuta europaea var. indica diperkenalkan oleh Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1859.
