Cuscuta pedicellata merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang siklus hidupnya selesai hanya dalam satu musim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Cuscuta pedicellata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich von Ledebour pada tahun 1829.
