Cuscuta planiflora merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang siklus hidupnya selesai hanya dalam satu musim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Cuscuta planiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Michele Tenore pada tahun 1828.
