Cuscuta umbrosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang siklus hidupnya selesai hanya dalam satu musim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Cuscuta umbrosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Karl Beyrich pada tahun 1837.
