Cutandia dichotoma merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afrika utara hingga Iran barat. Nama ilmiah Cutandia dichotoma pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Forsskål pada tahun 1895.
