Cyanea profuga merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Campanulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mapulehu valley cyanea. Nama ilmiah Cyanea profuga pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Noyes Forbes pada tahun 1916.
