Cyanotis foecunda merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Commelinaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Cyanotis foecunda diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1870.
