Cyathea squamata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cyatheaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Trinidad. Nama ilmiah Cyathea squamata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Friedrich Klotzsch pada tahun 1930.
