Cyathea tenera merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cyatheaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kosta Rika, Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan helecho gigante. Nama ilmiah Cyathea tenera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Smith pada tahun 1861.
