Cylindropuntia tunicata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas barat daya hingga Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan thistle cholla. Nama ilmiah Cylindropuntia tunicata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Georg Christian Lehmann pada tahun 1930.
