Cyperus alulatus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Cyperus alulatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Hendrikus Kern pada tahun 1952.
