Cyperus cephalotes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Cyperus cephalotes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Vahl pada tahun 1805.
