Cyperus hystricinus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari New Jersey hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bristly flatsedge. Nama ilmiah Cyperus hystricinus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Merritt Lyndon Fernald pada tahun 1906.
