Cyperus leucaspis merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Cyperus leucaspis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean Raynal pada tahun 2014.
