Cyperus nervosostriatus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Provinsi Utara (Northen). Nama ilmiah Cyperus nervosostriatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Bertram Turrill pada tahun 1925.
