Cyperus ochraceus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan pond flatsedge. Nama ilmiah Cyperus ochraceus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Vahl pada tahun 1805.
