Cyperus palmatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kenya hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Cyperus palmatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Kaare Arnstein Lye pada tahun 2011.
