Cyperus phleoides var. hawaiiensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Nama ilmiah Cyperus phleoides var. hawaiiensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Horace Mann Jr. pada tahun 1936.
