Cyperus picardae merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Cyperus picardae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1895.
