Cyperus polystachyos var. holosericeus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Nama ilmiah Cyperus polystachyos var. holosericeus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Heinrich Friedrich Link pada tahun 1884.
