Cyperus rohlfsii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur dan timur laut. Nama ilmiah Cyperus rohlfsii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1882.
