Cyperus wilburii merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Cyperus wilburii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Gordon C. Tucker pada tahun 1986.
