Dactylorhiza foliosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Madeira. Nama ilmiah Dactylorhiza foliosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach pada tahun 1962.
