Dalbergia acuta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Bahia, Minas Gerais, Goiás). Nama ilmiah Dalbergia acuta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1860.
