Damburneya umbrosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika tengah hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Damburneya umbrosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 2016.
