Danthoniopsis chimanimaniensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe timur hingga Mozambique bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Danthoniopsis chimanimaniensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James Bird Phipps pada tahun 1967.
